Veterans Day Parade

Today we went into Ogden to play in their Veterans Parade. It was so much fun and it was actually nice because of the cooler weather. I just saw on KSL that we were on the news again. We played "God Bless America" and "We are An American Band" today. We are so thankful for our parents supporting us through everything we do.

Veteran's Day Parade Preparation

Now since we have no more competitions, we are now memorizing more music for parades. This one is on the 8th of November in Ogden at 11:00 AM. We are going to be playing "God Bless America", and "We Are An American Band".

BYU Competition

Yesterday we went to BYU to our last competition. We performed at 4:30 PM. We won 3rd place in the 1A Division. We found out that this competition was close. Between us and 1st place there was 16 points. It was a close competition.

Davis Cup

We performed at Davis Cup on Tuesday October 7 at 4:30 PM. We went against Ogden, Roy and Spanish Fork. We were in last place again. Ogden got all the caption awards and got first place. Roy finished in second and Spanish Fork finished in third place. We will perform at BYU next week on Tuesday October 14 at 4:30 PM.

Homecoming Week

This week we have been playing in the morning for everyone in the school for Homecoming. At the end of the week we will be playing at halftime. We will play a part of our show. At the Homecoming game we will be playing against Weber.

Utah State University Competition

On Saturday September 27 we went to USU to a Competition. We played at 10:30 AM and only stayed for the awards for us. When it came to our division we thought that we would win at least one award like last year. This year we didn't get any. We came in 6th out of 6. We were only 35 points from 3rd place and only 70 points from 1st place. We will improve to get at least 3rd place. We next perform at Davis Cup on Tuesday October 7th.

Weber State Review

Yesterday we went to the Weber State Review. We were the 4th band to perform. After we performed to our audience, we went up in the stands to watch other bands across Utah. Other bands were from Viewmont, Timpview, Lehi, Mountain Crest, Davis, and American Fork just to name a few. We were amazed at Mountain View and American Fork, but all the bands we saw were great in their performances. Hopefully we win 1st place at our competitions. If you still want to see us perform then you can go to Utah State at 10:30 AM. We hopefully will win awards at the end of the competition.

Roy High Review

On Saturday September 13 we went to Roy High to see 4 other bands in our area. There was Weber High, Roy High, Ogden High, and Weber State. They had great shows. We are doing a Jungle Book Theme this year. We had 2 base drums fall over that day. We found out the next day of what we needed to do. If you want to see us live then you can come to Weber State on Tuesday September 23 at 4:45 PM.

Memorizing

Today we got another song. It is so much fun. Hey we have to memorize that first song by tomorrow. It'll be fun to have them memorized.

It's another year for summer marching band. Today was the begining. We got a piece of music that sounds great. I noticed a lot of people came from Walquist and Rocky Mountain to play with us. Its great having them. Our new drum major is Conley and he did great today. I hope to have a good year with him and the band.
